And here we go for the second round of Coachella love.

First up is one of my new favorite artists. I love his disco-jazz-bossa flair. He's a DJ, so the majority of his stuff constists of re-edits. Like the one here.

This next girl I've been digging for the last couple of months. This morning i saw her being pimped on the music televison. Strangely enough it didn't bug me at all as it usually does. School has had a kung-fu death grip on my genitals, but it's spring break, so that means its time to dance.

I got a copy of the Crystal Castles album. Its radtacular. This is the first song from the album. I love the vocal clips. So weird and thought inducing. My favorite kind of shit. Reminds me of Indians making love on a rainbow with Enya narrating.

Coachella Pt. 1

In light of the joyous occasion known as Coachella, I have supplied some dope tracks from bands you may not have heard of who will be rocking this years festival.

First up is SPIRITUALIZED. These guys are amazing. Thats about it. Think of Pink Floyd meets Spoon or something like that. I'm giddy waiting for their live show. This song is the title track off of their landmark album, "Ladies and Gentlemen We're Floating in Space."

Next up is a dude from Scotland (represent Scot pride~~!!), CALVIN HARRIS. He plays funk inspired dance music along the lines of the Rapture and LCD Soundsytem. I mean. . .how could you really go wrong with that? His album, "I Created Disco," is nothing short of awesome. Here's his huge single from that album.

I have been a fan of the next band for the last couple of years. Beautifully-layered, rich, electronic music. I got to meet them this week when I went to a taping of Jimmy Kimmel. Really nice guys, but a little weary of us filthy Americans. Did I mention they Rocked the house?

Whats up everyone. It's Friday. School has started, and that means my little brown hairs are back on their path to becoming little gray hairs. So now it's time to rejoice over the fact that the work week is over and do the D.A.N.C.E.

First up today is a track of off Steve Aoki's new album. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the first track off of it is just a copy and paste of the Refused's, "New Noise." Major boo points for that. At any rate, this track is a LA RIOTS remix of SCANNER's, "Low Life," with a little taste of UFFIE mixed in. I am in love with her just like every dude who knows who she is. Eat it up. Cred goes to LA Riots, not Aoki.

What up to all of the ANIMAL COLLECTIVE fans. This next track is a remix of one of the better songs from PANDA BEAR's solo album. At first I wasn't sure what to think of it, but now it has become a part of me. It's so happy and yet tinges of dark and looming piano are sprinkled on top. Genius. Remix done by TURBOSTATION.

The next track is a bit morose because everyone needs a little love in their lives. CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is a pop/electro act from Australia, one of the emerging hot spots of this crazy dance electro scene. *Cough*Cut Copy*Cough* One interesting thing about this track is the major lack of a snare drum. That doesn't bother me too much though. I love it anyway. And I hope you will too.

Fourth up today is a track from NEON BLAK. This starts out with some cheesy robot man and wife conversing about ass shaking. . .things can only get better from there, right? The bass line on this track kills. Uh oh. The ass shaking dialogue continues. These Swedes are on top of their game. This is the remix, or as they call it. . V.2.

Last up today is a real gem. From the mastermind behind the fabulous KITSUNE, Shinichi Osawa brings us a remake of the CHEMICAL BROTHERS', "Star Guitar." The lovely ladies in AU REVOIR SIMONE do a fantastic job on vocals (I'm in love with them as well). I could dance to this shit all night. A fist pounding, crotch thrusting delight. Round Two

It's been four days. . .and yes, it's time for another dose of remix love. This blogging business has become more addicting than I had expected. Ah well. . . and away we go.

First up is remix of a FEIST song called, "My Moon, My Man" done by the rad dudes in BOYS NOIZE. I'm starting to realize how inescapable this talk box action is. Nearly every remix that catches my ear has at least a little taste of robot vocals in it. That being said, you could probably guess that this one has a fair amount in it. Take an amazing, beautiful artist like Feist and mix in a dirty vocoder sound and a fat beat and I'm all over it. This track is in the top 10 of 2007 for a lot of people.

Next is another KLAXONS remix. This song has been around for a bit, but if you can't get enough of JUSTICE, like myself, then this remix is for you. It sounds like it could have come straight from their album. What else needs to be said?

Moving along. . . this one's a little change of pace. WILLIE NELSON. He loves weed. I love him. U2. Not so much. Put em' together and what do you get? Magic. Even if you loathe Bono and his antics as much as I do, you can't deny the way this track tugs at the heart strings. Mix-up done by the talented DIVIDE & KREATE from Stockholm, Sweden. The last track I have for you today is a remix of, "Pogo" by DIGITALISM. If you haven't heard this song yet you've been under a rock for the last six months. At this point it's reached played out status. Every wannabe/hippie/indie chick at the club is begging for this song. This remix gives some new life to it and for that I am grateful. Done by the very talented MANO.
